Electronic Construction Bid Submission Platforms

Platform Solutions Supporting the Diversified Demands of Construction Industry Buyers, Contractors and Suppliers.

SIOUX FALLS, SD (January 07, 2020) – RFQGuides announces release of an Electronic Construction Bid Submission Platform modeled on SaaS. The ECBS is being released as a collaboration between the developer RFQ Guides and the construction industry’s digital technology authority BidForms Organization who establishes standards for development of electronic data exchange technology.

RFQ Guides Electronic Construction Bid Submission supports all construction trades. Its design follows industry standards for defining a scope of work and requesting price quotes from contractors. Pricing models use proven techniques to assure buyers are requesting and contractors are providing prices for an apples-to-apple comparison.

Construction Consultants agree on standardized pricing models to accurately compare contractor rates. Construction Buyers note post bid negotiations usually refine final prices. However, buyers still risk these negotiations will break the original scope of work that was priced.

Digital exchange of construction data can track changes even during contract negotiations and alert buyers of significant changes that would have altered all bids as they were submitted. This eliminates the risk of over paying once competing bids had been eliminated.

RFQ ECBS platforms fully integrate construction buyers, consultants, contractors and suppliers. Buyers establish a Construction Project Supply Chain Infrastructure by creating a construction project and inviting one or more contractors to submit price quotes.

ECBS pricing starts at $49 for residential construction projects and $149 for commercial projects with packages for civic entities starting at $249. These rates include support for a single property and one construction bid project. There is no limit to the number of bid projects can be created for any asset (property). Bid projects expire at conclusion of each construction stage of the transactions but can be revived, updated and extended at later dates should a project be postponed or transgress into the next stage of execution.

Standard bid project pricing includes up to ten users for commercial projects, five which can be contractors submitting price quotes. Other users include assistants, consultants and ownership as an observer only. The platform is based on committed entries and supports addendums for alterations and additions to the scope of work. There’s also no limit to the number of document uploads and future versions will support validation of remotely store sourced documents and smart contracts.

Budget analysis and configuration tools are included with every electronic bid submission project. Additional tools built into the platform include bid price comparisons with the ability to compare and configure various budget configuration options. Analysis includes industry standard per unit measured rate comparisons, contingency rates and construction management fee adjustments for the bottom line.

While a ‘Consultant’ is included as an additional no-cost project member, RFQ Guides estimate commercial buyers will pay Consultant external rates between $1,000 and $3,500 for time requirements.

RFQ Guides built-in capability for special Scope of Work Tools allowing construction buyers and consultants to automatically define a scope of work based on industry standards and best practices. General property details combined with AI and public data are used to automate the entire process. Currently available Scope of Work Tools are priced individually and range from $499 to $2,500 based on the valuation and complexity of the construction project.

Service Providers are given cost free access to individual bid projects as ‘bidders’, consultants and project assistants. Consultants, contractors and designer subscriber platforms are priced as annual subscriptions and include advanced integration between the electronic bid submission platform and their related platform applications. Equipment and material suppliers license APIs that integrate with the ECBS platform via direct secure communication with contractor API.
