Scope of Work

Automatically establish design and contractor performance requirements with a professionally written scope of work. RFQ combines digital data, performance references, technical documentation and details from regulators, manufacturers and specifications as the standard of quality contractors price.

eScope collects this data from AI libraries published by industry combined with best practices standards to generate the scope of work that protects buyer interests.

Line Items

Line Items separate the main scope of work from miscellaneous items that can blur analysis of contractors and bid rates.

  • Separate optional and required works
  • Isolate variations from base rates
  • Identify alterations to the SOW
  • Price hidden work in advance
  • Competitively price change orders
  • Consolidate works within Addendum’s

eScope™ automatically enters line items identified from project details

Structured Pricing

Structured price models make all your contractor quotes readable and easy to analyze. Digital submission simplifies construction bid processes, assures buyers expectations are clearly defined with each work item priced accordingly by contractors.

The SOW, design, product and material options are isolated to assure contractor bids can be compared on an apples-to-apples basis.

Building Information Models

Building information models (BIM) improve accuracy by autonomizing bid and project setup processes for owners, management, contractors and supply chains.

BIM assures project parameters are technically correct and a reliable source of data to be analyzed by service providers in estimating project pricing.

Property, jobsite and contact details are automatically entered from BIM data eliminating user process requirements.

eScope™ FAQ’s

What Is eScope™?
eScope™ are automated user tools and guides that prepare a scope of work for construction projects.
Is eScope™ Required?
No! RFQ electronic construction bid submission platform designs include Structured Pricing™ for up to five contractor bid submissions. Any written scope of work (SOW), two SOW options, details and up to ten line items may be entered in standard Bid Project Packages without eScope™.
How Does eScope™ Work?
eScope™ is an integral component of Electronic Bid Submission Project setup. RFQ platforms leverage user data combining trade standards and building code requirements passed through artificial intelligence to establish a foundation for preparing a professional construction Scope of Work while providing users with granular control over product selection, suppliers and contractor performance.
Does eScope Cut Consulting Cost?
Yes it can supplement a team of advisors but should not be considered as a replacement. Project details required by eScope™ are readily available through common knowledge, property reports and sources of public information. Final preparation of the scope of work may be as simple as selecting quality and product options or number of units. These design decisions are best explored with construction consultants who are familiar with current market trends, recent developments, initiatives and requirements of local building departments.
Can Consultants Use eScope™?
Yes! As an invited project member, consultants and like designers have full access to scope of work configuration tools. Consultants may also leverage Electronic Bid Submission Platforms as the project admin inviting clients to participate as owners providing protected access to project details and contractor submissions. Combined, ECBS and eScope™ simplifies preparation of the scope while centralizing data and document management with Structured Pricing™, paperless contractor submission and advance budget configuration features.
How Much Does eScope™ Cost?
eScope™ tools are priced as a per-project add-on to an existing Electronic Construction Bid Submission project. Rates start at $99 for residential and $249 for commercial construction. Overall rates for eScope™ Tools vary based on the trade, type of construction and complexity of configuring structured price models and analysis of contractor bids.
How Much do Consultants Cost?
There are no membership or use fees for Consultants invited to participate in digital bid projects with eScope™. Consultants engaged to prepare and edit the scope of work, project documentation and advise on contractor price submissions remain the product of local market forces.
Can eScope™ Be Edited?
Yes, anytime before issuing an ‘official request for price quotes’ to the bid projects contractors. Subsequent safeguards prevent altering of data to assure integrity and instill confidence in electronic bid submission platforms.
Can I Change an eScope™?
No! To preserve integrity of electronic bid submission the scope of work and line item entries are locked once a bid project is committed to contractors to price.
Contractors Requested Changes?
Alterations to any scope of work should be processed through an Addendum. RFQ follows this industry standard with Electronic Addendum’s. Project administrators may create an unlimited number of addendum’s to facilitate updates, corrections modifications and additions discussed with contractors and designers during project and site review. Once an Addendum is created and committed it becomes accessible to all project members and a performance requirement attached to project deliverables.
Can I Reconfigure eScope™ Setup?
Yes, running eScope™ configuration tools during setup of the electronic bid project replaces all previous data in both the scope of work and line item entries. eScope™ configuration tools are disabled once the project is committed to bid.
